Yin Li, Ph.D.

Research Scientist, Peng Cheng Laboratory

Yin Li is a research scientist in the Peng Cheng Laboratory in Shenzhen, China, working at the interface between machine learning, statistics, cosmology and astrophysics. Previously, Li was a Flatiron Research Fellow with a joint appointment in the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) and the Center for Computational Mathematics (CCM). While there, he worked mostly on cosmology and machine learning, collaborating with astrophysicists and mathematicians in both CCA and CCM. Prior to joining the Flatiron Institute, Li was a postdoctoral researcher in cosmology with joint appointments at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Tokyo. He earned his Ph.D. in physics from The University of Chicago.
