“It’s fundamentally important for everyone to have access” to science museums, says Amanda Schochet, who founded MICRO with her partner Charles Philipp. By placing a wealth of knowledge inside a vending-machine size “box,” they’re reinventing what a science museum can and should do – and where it can go. In this video, see how Schochet and Philipp plan to make MICRO the most visited museum in the world.

Science Sandbox became MICRO’s launch partner in 2016. The MICRO team was also part of the inaugural cohort of the Science Sandbox @ New Lab fellowship in 2017, during which Schochet and Philipp refined their museum prototypes and distribution strategy.
