CCM’s Alex Barnett and Joakim Andén along with collaborators at NYU, Princeton University, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) have received the Best Paper Award at the 22nd IEEE International Workshop on Parallel and Distributed Scientific and Engineering Computing (PDSEC-21). Their paper, titled: cuFINUFFT: a load-balanced GPU library for general-purpose nonuniform FFTs, presents software for high-performance CUDA-based nonuniform fast Fourier transforms, with applications in signal/image processing and scientific computing. First author and lead developer Yu-hsuan (Melody) Shih, an NYU graduate student, was a summer intern at CCM, during which much of the work was performed.
