It from Qubit: Meetings

December 8-9, 2016: First Annual Meeting

The collaboration will meet for it’s first annual meeting on Thursday, December 8th and Friday, December 9th. Please see the meeting’s page for details.

December 5-7, 2016: Entanglement in field theory and gravity

Organized by: Matthew Headrick, Alex Maloney, and Mark Van Raamsdonk.

It from Qubit, the Simons Collaboration on Quantum Fields, Gravity, and Information, will host a workshop December 5-7 at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics. The workshop will explore the role of entanglement, in all of its manifestations, in quantum field theory, quantum gravity, and holography. Special sessions will be devoted to two of the Collaboration’s ongoing projects: Constraints on gravitational spacetimes from entanglement inequalities; and Multipartite entanglement in quantum field theory and gravity.

July 18-29, 2016: Summer school

“It from Qubit” held an interdisciplinary summer school on quantum fields, quantum gravity and quantum information from July 18 to 29, 2016 at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. The school was aimed at graduate students and postdocs from diverse intellectual backgrounds — including high-energy theory, quantum information theory and condensed-matter theory — who are interested in reaching across disciplinary boundaries.
