Brato Chakrabarti, Ph.D.Flatiron Research Fellow, Biophysical Modeling, CCB, Flatiron Institute
Brato Chakrabarti joined the Center for Computational Biology’s Biophysical Modeling Group in March 2020. He earned his PhD in Applied Mechanics at the University of California at San Diego, his Master of Science in Engineering Mechanics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at Jadavpur University. In his PhD thesis, Brato developed models for the emergence of oscillatory dynamics in motor-driven cilia, among other things. While at UCSD, Brato was awarded the Powell Fellowship.
