Although some biological processes are highly stereotyped, others exhibit large degrees of variability. In many cases, this variability is core to the biological function of that process. DICE (“Dynamics in Cells and Embryos”) is a meeting organized to unite researchers who quantify and model stochastic biological processes, from individual cells to whole embryos.
