Title:
Enhancing the Image: Developing Computational Tools for Cryo-EM

Cryo-EM has recently undergone rapid progress in terms of achievable resolutions, driven by advances in detector hardware and image processing methods.  In the past, I have developed a number of computational tools and methods to maximize the amount of usable information in cryo-EM images. In this talk I will discuss these developments, along with my current research which seeks to use computational control of the microscope to obtain images with enhanced contrast.
