The lectures (June) are especially meant for beginning machine learning practitioners. We provide a foundation in methods of Machine Learning but focus on its applications to real research examples, from exploratory data analysis to hypothesis testing and diagnostics. The workshop (July) will be a facilitated, low-key hackathon, where participants work in a collaborative fashion on problems within their research, find peer and senior mentoring, and share their methods and results.
