The goal of the workshop is to establish a core community for the development of AFQMC software package(s) to deploy for strongly correlated quantum systems. The main focus here is on ab initio simulations for realistic materials and quantum chemistry systems. We want to set up a roadmap and establish standards for AFQMC software development. In this context, we plan to discuss some of the recent algorithmic advances both within AFQMC and in related areas, and how they can be best integrated in the next generation of software.
