TopicStructural ensemble refinement with CryoEM images

Cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM) takes individual projection images of bio-molecules. CryoEM can capture the conformational ensemble of the biomolecule at room temperature, preserved by fast quenching. However, extracting and validating these ensembles from cryoEM is still challenging, since there are insufficient projections for rare conformations, e.g., transitional states, to reconstruct all the conformations using just the cryoEM images. To resolve this problem, we use a prior set of conformations from Molecular Dynamics simulations to extract conformational landscape from cryoEM images.
