Title: Prospects for Dark Matter Signals in Future Gamma-Ray Observations

Abstract: Gamma rays provide a window on extremely energetic astrophysical processes occurring in our Milky Way Galaxy and beyond, and could also hold clues to the nature and interactions of dark matter. I will discuss new results on the prospects for testing classic dark matter models in upcoming gamma-ray observations. For the heavy dark matter models that will be newly tested by improvements in sensitivity to TeV-scale gamma-rays, there are often theoretical subtleties in the calculation of the gamma-ray signal; I will discuss some of these issues and in particular introduce a recently-developed method for ensuring that the predicted signals are always consistent with unitarity.
