Software Engineering

The Software Engineering team designs, builds and maintains innovative software systems that align with the foundation’s commitment to open science by supporting various initiatives and collaborations, including SPARK, Autism BrainNet, SFARI Base, Simons Searchlight, the SFARI Sleep Project and the Simons Collaboration on Plasticity and the Aging Brain. The Software Engineering team develops solutions and data models to address complex problems that arise during the collection, storage, processing and distribution of human-subject or other highly sensitive data and biospecimens. The team develops applications and systems used by internal and external researchers to explore and analyze a wide variety of large scientific datasets.
