Aaditya Rangan, Ph.D.

Aaditya Rangan is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University. Rangan’s research deals with understanding some of the different kinds of dynamics which can emerge in neuronal networks. In addition, Rangan has been developing tools for detecting various types of structure within large data sets, focusing mainly on finding ‘biclusters’ within gene-expression and SNP data. Rangan holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics from Dartmouth College.
