Agnish Kumar Behera, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, CCN, Flatiron Institute

Agnish is a Flatiron Research Fellow in the Center for Computational Neuroscience. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Chicago. During his Ph.D. he worked on the processing of information out of equilibrium in Hopfield models and generative diffusion models. He received his B.S. degree in chemistry with minors in physics and biology from Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. As a long standing research interest, he wants to understand the storage and retrieval of episodic memories. Currently, he works on understanding how neurons perceive information and devise responses for various tasks from a control theory perspective. Besides work, he loves traveling, cooking, hiking, playing PC games, reading novels and running.
