Alessandro Chiesa, M.E.

Alessandro Chiesa received a B.S. in both mathematics and computer science from MIT in 2009 and an M.E. in computer science from MIT in 2010. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in the Theory of Computation group at MIT. Chiesa is interested in cryptography, mechanism design and complexity theory. He has published many papers in the proceedings of top theory conferences such as STOC and ITCS and top crypto conferences such as CRYPTO and TCC. Chiesa’s work in cryptography and complexity theory has focused on developing novel and more efficient ways to verify outsourced computation. His work in mechanism design has focused on investigating a much more realistic, and difficult to work with, model for the knowledge that a player may have about his preferences in auctions and related games.
