Alex Mayer, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Biological Transport Networks, CCB, Flatiron Institute

Alex Mayer joined the Center for Computational Biology (CCB) as a Flatiron Research Fellow with the Biological Transport Networks group in October 2024. His research focuses on modeling adaptation in biological flow networks under dynamic conditions. He earned his Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he developed physics-based models for gene expression and its coordination in multinucleate and multiphase systems.
