Alisa Galishnikova, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Stars and Plasma Astrophysics, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Alisa joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) as a Flatiron Research Fellow in September, 2024. Prior to that, she received her Ph.D. in astrophysics from Princeton University. Alisa’s primary research interest is in exploring the connections between microscopic plasma processes and the macroscopic behavior of extreme astrophysical systems, such as accreting black holes, through a combination of novel computational approaches and theoretical models.
