Chang-Goo Kim’s research interests center on the physics of star formation and the interstellar medium, as well as the development, implementation and application of state-of-the-art numerical methods for computational fluid dynamics. He developed a local, galactic-scale simulation suite that self-consistently models the interstellar medium in great details with well-resolved star formation and feedback. A particular emphasis of his research is on developing subgrid models for large-scale galaxy formation simulations based on his resolved simulations.Kim was a postdoctoral scholar at Princeton University and a CITA National Fellow at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. Kim obtained his Ph.D. at Seoul National University in Korea.
