Emeline Françoise Fromont

Emeline Fromont joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) as a Pre-Doctoral Researcher in September 2026. She uses numerical simulations to study hot Jupiter exoplanet atmospheres and their clouds, in order to better constrain the behavior and evolution of these processes. She is also interested in the distribution of dust and gas throughout protoplanetary disks during the planet formation process, hoping to better understand how the origins of planets can shape their present compositions and aerosol content. She is currently working on her Ph.D in astronomy at the University of Maryland (est. 2028), and earned her B.S. in physics from Carnegie Mellon University (2021).
