Dr. Emily Miraldi is a computational and systems biologist whose lab, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, builds mathematical models of the immune system (http://miraldilab.cchmc.org/). Her research studies leverage new biotechnologies (for example, single-cell genomics) and often require development of new computational modeling methods. Long-term, Miraldi’s goal is to use these models to reengineer immune-cell behavior in the context of inflammatory diseases and cancer.
