Euiwoong Lee will start as a postdoctoral research associate at New York University in January 2018. He received his Ph.D. from the Carnegie Mellon University, under the supervision of Venkatesan Guruswami.

His research interests include approximation algorithms, hardness of approximation and the power of convex hierarchies. He is particularly interested in adapting ideas from basic-optimization problems (e.g., constraint-satisfaction problems) to more structured and applied problems (e.g., graph-cut problems).
