Joe Kileel is a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University in the Program for Applied and Computational Mathematics, working with Amit Singer. He is interested in applying tools from computational algebraic geometry to problems in science and engineering. His Ph.D. thesis entitled “Algebraic Geometry for Computer Vision” advised by Bernd Sturmfels was awarded the 2017 Bernard Friedman Memorial Prize for best thesis in applied mathematics at UC Berkeley.
