Joshua Pughe-Sanford, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Neural Circuits and Algorithms, CCN, Flatiron Institute

Joshua Pughe-Sanford is a Flatiron Research Fellow in the Center for Computational Neuroscience (CCN). They work on a dynamical systems framework of neurons, with a particular focus on the reconstruction of dynamics from sparse measurements and reduced-order modeling. Josh graduated from Georgia Tech in 2023 with a Ph.D. in physics and an M.S. in mathematics. Their dissertation explored extending the dynamical systems theory of Axiom-A chaos to fluid turbulence.
