Jourdain Johnson is working in the Center of Computational Astrophysics at the Flatiron Institute through the Simons-NSBP Scholars Program (SNSP). He works under Yajie Yuan, studying 2D simulations of plasmoid ejections through alfven waves from a magnetar. Jourdain will be a senior at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), pursuing a physics degree with a minor in computer science. He is an Alabama Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Scholar at UAH.
