Program Coordinator, Science, Society & Culture
Kayla Y. Lim joined the Simons Foundation in 2025 as a program coordinator for the Science, Society & Culture division. She manages the strategic planning and execution of the division’s Presidential Lecture series, which aims to foster discourse, discovery and a sense of belonging across New York’s research communities. She also supports the Presents series, a public event series exploring the intersections of science and culture. Additionally, she helps steward the Triangle Program, which facilitates exchange between artists and scientists.
Before joining the foundation, Lim led science communication and public engagement programming in university settings, including as a Dana Center Neuroscience and Society fellow. She holds a Ph.D. in integrative physiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied the neuroscience of prosocial behavior.
