Kaylah McGowan joined the CCA as an SNSP Scholar, and will be conducting cosmology research with ACT data. She completed her BS in applied physics with a minor in astronomy at the University of Arizona. During her time there, she worked as an undergraduate student researcher for the EHT collaborative, where she received a congressional award for her role in the international effort to produce the first image of a black hole using radio astronomy. Her mentors are Steve Choi, Mike Niemack and Zach Huber from Simons Observatory.
