Konstantin Leyde, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Gravitational Waves, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Biography and Research Interests

Konstantin Leyde is an astrophysicist and a Flatiron Research Fellow at the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA). He analyzes gravitational-wave data to probe cosmology, understand the origins of black holes and neutron stars, and explore their correlation with galaxies. To do this, he uses both conventional likelihood-based methods and simulation-based inference. Konstantin earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Université Paris Cité and previously worked as a research fellow at the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation, Portsmouth. He is also a member of the LIGOVirgoKAGRA collaboration.
