Kotaro Tamaoka is a professor at Nihon University. As a member of It from Qubit, he was a postdoc at Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University. He received his Ph.D. from Osaka University under the supervision of Norihiro Iizuka. He is interested in the mechanism behind the emergence of space-times, especially in the context of holography. Recently, he has been studying quantum information measures for mixed states that are dual to sharp gravitational objects in AdS/CFT.
