Lampros Lamprou, Ph.D.

University of British Columbia

Lampros Lamprou is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of British Columbia. He is originally from Greece, where he completed his undergraduate studies. He obtained his Ph.D. in theoretical physics in 2017 from Stanford University, under the supervision of Leonard Susskind and subsequently performed research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology for three years, as a Pappalardo postdoctoral fellow. He aims to understand the nature of spacetime in the quantum theory of gravity with a special focus on probing the physics hidden behind black hole horizons and reconstructing the experience of an infalling observer.
