Leonardo dos Anjos Cunha joined the Center for Computational Quantum Physics (CCQ) as a Flatiron Research Fellow in September 2023. His research focuses on developing new approximations to investigate how strong light-matter coupling can be leveraged to control molecular and material properties inside optical cavities. Prior to joining CCQ, he worked on relativistic quantum chemistry, with an emphasis on developing ab-initio methods for core spectroscopy. He earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and his M.S in physics and B.S. in electronics engineering from the Aeronautics Institute of Technology in Brazil.
