Luke Evans joined the Flatiron Institute in June of 2023 as a Research Fellow in the Structural and Molecular Biophysics Group, a collaboration between the institute’s Center for Computational Biology and Center for Computational Mathematics. His research involves data-driven methods for the study of rare events in molecular dynamics simulation. Prior to joining the institute, he completed a Ph.D. in applied mathematics at the University of Maryland, an M.A. in mathematics at San Francisco State University and a B.A. in mathematics from Hendrix College.
