Minyong Jung

Research Analyst, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Minyong Jung is 2025 Predoctoral Researcher at the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA), and a final year Ph.D. student at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Seoul National University. His research focuses on the fate of ram-pressure stripped gas in Milky Way-like system, quantifying the coherence timescale of the stripped gas and investigate its long-term evolution—whether it disperses into the CGM, contributes to cold gas condensation, or accretes onto the host galaxy. This work seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of how RPS affects satellite galaxy evolution and the baryon cycle of the central host within MW-like environments.
