Olivier Gauthé, Ph.D.

Associate Research Scientist, Software, CCQ, Flatiron Institute

Olivier Gauthé joined the Center for Computational Quantum Physics (CCQ) as an Associate Research Scientist, Software in October 2023. He obtained his Ph.D. at Toulouse III University in September 2019. During his studies, Olivier worked on constructing generalizations of quantum spin liquid states for SU(N) systems in two dimensions with projected entangled pair states. He then joined  École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland as a postdoctoral researcher. There, he studied thermal properties of 2D frustrated spin systems and symmetries in tensor networks. Olivier is interested in frustrated magnetism, SU(N) systems and numerical methods to study them.
