Santhiya joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) as a Predoctoral Fellow in January 2026. Santhiya is a Ph.D. student in the Astrophysics and Relativity group at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS–TIFR). Santhiya’s doctoral research focuses on exploring the interplay between large-scale magnetic fields and plasma flows in the accretion disks and jets of black holes, using direct numerical simulations. At CCA, Santhiya’s work will emphasize the polarization properties of AGN accretion disks, particularly for M87*, investigating how magnetic field configurations influence the polarization fraction. These results will be directly compared with Event Horizon Telescope observations.
