Shakemia Browne

Shakemia Browne joined the Center for Computational Mathematics at Flatiron Institute in January 2022.

Shakemia joined the Simons Foundation in January 2019 as an Office Assistant for the Operations team. She has an extensive background in customer service and office support. Prior to coming to the foundation, she was a Guest Service Supervisor at Paul Hastings LLP and provided office support for several large law firms in NYC.

Shakemia danced in the underground hip hop dance scene from the ages of 6 until 19. She has graced the stage of the famous Apollo theater in Harlem, Town Hall in the theater district and has performed on several talk shows.

Shakemia is excited to have joined CCM and looks forward to working at Flatiron Institute.
