Shivan Khullar joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) as a Flatiron Research Fellow in September 2025. His research focuses on the formation of stars and turbulence in the interstellar medium. He uses numerical simulations to better understand the role of different physical processes in the formation and evolution of giant molecular clouds. He also works on developing numerical methods to enhance the dynamic range in non-grid-based MHD simulations. Prior to joining the CCA, Shivan obtained his Ph.D. in astronomy and astrophysics from the University of Toronto.
