Shravan Veerapaneni is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Michigan. His research interests include scientific computing, fast algorithms, potential theory, complex fluids, microfluidics, soft-matter, biomechanics. He has been awarded the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Award, and the ACM Gordon Bell Prize. Veerapaneni holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras).
