Shyam H. Menon joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) as a Flatiron Research Fellow in September 2025. His research focuses on the interplay between star formation and massive star feedback in young, cluster-forming environments, and on how these processes shape the interstellar medium (ISM) of their host galaxies, with a specific emphasis on the early Universe. He uses radiation magnetohydrodynamical simulations to investigate these systems and is also actively involved in developing state-of-the-art methods for modeling radiation feedback and ISM physics, as well as in testing numerical models against observational data. Shyam received his Ph.D. in astronomy from the Australian National University in 2023, after which he held a joint postdoctoral appointment at Rutgers University and as a Guest Researcher at CCA until 2025.
