Sophie Newman joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) as a Research Analyst through the CCA Pre-Doctoral Program in September 2023. She studied at the University of Southampton before beginning her PhD at the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation, University of Portsmouth, in 2023. Her research focuses on generating synthetic observations for the James Webb Space Telescope and is currently investigating the nature of Little Red Dots during her time at the CCA.
