Steve Bronder

Software Engineer, CCM, Flatiron Institute

Steve Bronder joined the Center for Computational Mathematics (CCM) as a software engineer in 2023. He specializes in C++ and has been contributing to open-source software for more than ten years. Bronder focuses on high-performance computing related to automatic differentiation as well as algorithms optimized for modern CPUs and GPUs. His other lines of research focus on time series forecasting and methodologies for validating machine learning models.

Before coming to CCM, Bronder worked on the Stan project at Columbia University where he developed patterns for optimizing automatic differentiation for linear algebra. He also previously worked at Capital One Commercial Bank developing risk models for commercial loans.
