Tomonori Ugajin is a professor at Kyoto University. As a member of It from Qubit, he was a postdoc at the University of Pennsylvania. Originally from Japan, he received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo under the supervision of Hitoshi Murayama and Tadashi Takayanagi. In his recent research, he has been developing new techniques to compute quantum information-theoretic quantities in quantum field theory and applying these results to several branches of theoretical physics, including holography.
