Will Farr is a lecturer and astrophysicist at the Institute of Gravitational Wave Astronomy at the University of Birmingham. He works at Stony Brook University and the Center for Computational Astrophysics. His research interests include gravitational-wave astronomy, compact object formation and evolution, the gravitational dynamics of planets and stars, and astrostatistics. He earned his B.S. in physics from the California Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He held postdoctoral positions at Northwestern University before moving to Birmingham in 2013.
