Nima Lashkari is a professor at Purdue University. As a member of It from Qubit, he was a postdoc at the Institute for Advanced Study. He is originally from Iran and obtained his Ph.D. from McGill University in Canada. After spending time as a postdoc at the University of British Columbia, Stanford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he was a postdoc at the Institute for Advanced Study. His research focus is the study of nonperturbative phenomena in quantum field theory and gravity through the lens of quantum information theory.
