Uri Eden, Ph.D.

Boston University

Uri T. Eden received a B.S. in mathematics and in engineering and applied sciences from the California Institute of Technology in 1999, as well as an M.S. degree in engineering sciences and Ph.D. in engineering sciences from Harvard University in 2002 and 2005, respectively. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Brain and Cognitive Sciences Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, from 2005–2006.

In 2006, he joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Boston University, where he is currently an associate professor and associate director of the Program in Statistics. He received an NSF CAREER award in 2007. His research focuses on developing mathematical and statistical methods to analyze neural spiking activity, integrating methodologies related to model identification, statistical inference, signal processing and stochastic estimation and control.
