Simons Simplex Collection Autism Data Now Available Online

SFARI, in partnership with WuXi NextCODE, is now able to offer researchers direct online access to the Simons Simplex Collection (SSC), one of the largest and most rigorously characterized autism datasets in the world. The SSC contains genetic, phenotypic and biological information from nearly 2,600 families that include one child diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

WuXi NextCODE is a genomic information company that develops databases to manage and analyze datasets containing hundreds of thousands of human genomes. The SSC is now made available through the technology of WuXi NextCODE Exchange, a cloud-based database, interpretation and discovery system. That system’s technology allows researchers to analyze the genetic information of SSC individuals or families, or to interrogate all genomes in the dataset. SSC information may also be analyzed alongside other datasets to confirm new discoveries and clinical diagnoses related to autism spectrum disorders.

Researchers may apply to WuXi NextCODE for access to the SSC dataset here.
